Battery Plug started with one simple observation on the streets of Hyderabad: charging an electric vehicle takes hours, but a battery swap takes minutes. For gig workers, e-rickshaw drivers and delivery fleets, that difference is a day's earnings.
So we built a network of smart swapping stations where a rider rolls in with an empty battery and rolls out with a full one — in under two minutes. Every pack in our fleet is continuously health-monitored, safely charged and ready before you are.

The first plug goes in
Battery Plug is founded in Hyderabad. Our pilot station opens its shutters and the first 500 swaps happen in month one — mostly delivery riders who never looked back.
Going multi-city
Bengaluru and Chennai come online. We launch subscription plans and the prepaid wallet, so riders can top up once and swap anywhere on the network.
100,000 swaps completed
Fleet partnerships take off with consolidated GST billing and priority lanes. Our battery fleet crosses 500 health-monitored packs — every one tracked in real time.
Five cities strong
Mumbai and Delhi join the map. QR membership cards and live station availability launch, so a full battery is always one scan away.
